Thunder Power is dedicated in creating advanced technology products, focusing on environmentally sensitive solutions to benefit society and enhance the daily lives of the consumer.
Thunder Power’s core competence is in its proprietary technology. Battery management systems, thermal management systems and vehicle chassis are all developed in-house.
By engineering an advanced and dedicated platform from the ground up, the efficiency of the vehicle architecture is optimised allowing a series of performance advantages.
Unencumbered by legacy issues, this is especially true in relation to the battery design and capacity, an area so often compromised on electric derivatives of mainstream vehicles.
The engineering team combines a diverse range of international talent with vast automotive, motorsport, design and engineering expertise from organisations including Porsche, Bugatti, Ferrari, Kawasaki, Giugiaro.
Based near Milan, Italy, Thunder Power benefits from a location at the very heart of the European automotive cluster.

With an annual capacity of 100,000 units the first volume production facility will be located in Ganzhou, Jianxi province on a 165 acre site.
The facility is a joint venture with the local government.
In the first phase a 10,000 m2 prototype manufacturing facility is already finished with the construction.
To meet the projected volume capacity a European manufacturing plant is planned for start of production in 2019.
An extension to the Ganzhou plant is foreseen from 2022, doubling to accommodate an expanded model range.
In addition to the European engineering centre in Italy, Thunder Power also performs research and development activities in Greater China region focusing on advanced battery technologies, vehicle integration and weight reduction.
Thunder Power’s commercial activities are headquartered in Hong Kong Central district.
